Founded by Julie Byrd and Amy Garratt, Balance Your Body Yoga is an innovative and visionary program that focuses on the science of yoga and the science of the human body. Balance Your Body Yoga offers classes and an exciting selection of teacher training programs at two studios, one in the heart of Montrose and another studio in the heart of Rice Village. Our contemporary yoga programs are designed to restore and maintain the body’s appropriate range of motion, create good alignment, optimize muscle balance and cultivate physical awareness.
Balance Your Body Yoga recognizes that not every pose is for everybody, and that physical limitations may be a result of injury or illness, poor posture in a work environment, or overuse in athletic performance. Balance Your Body Yoga therefore puts the spotlight on muscle functions and body mechanics. By utilizing simple exercises and yoga postures our classes and programs will help you develop a perfect balance of strength and flexibility. Balance Your Body Yoga is an innovative method to enhance and optimize body performance for all levels.
Amy Garratt and Julie Byrd are dedicated in offering quality, educational and professional training. They believe that yoga can help everyone feel better and are enthusiastic in their belief that yoga can bring our bodies into a perfect state of balance and health.
