Sofia loves to teach and share the experience of yoga. She first started practicing Hatha yoga in 1991. She completed Robert Boustany's Hatha Yoga Teacher Training program in 2004 and since then has taught both corporate yoga classes and also private workshops under the name of Ahimsa Yoga.

Her classes blend Hatha, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Iyengar and Kundalini techniques picked up over her years of personal yoga practice. Other influences have included Beryl Bender Birch and Tias Little.

Sofia is dedicated to teaching the basic foundations of a yoga practice before she gently encourages students to work at their best level. Small class sizes allow for her to focus on the individual and to ensure that comfortable modifications are designed to maintain correct alignment for the student.
