Guruatma K. Khlasa is a yoga therapist and certified Kundalini Yoga instructor, also certified with the Kundalini Research Association.
She is the Assistant Director of 3HO Anti-Addiction Technology and Systems, and, since 1994, a certified Massage Therapist in Texas.
Guruatma has spent the last 30 years in a deeply personal study of how yoga, pranayam (breathing techniques), meditation, diet and nutrition, PT, attitude and lifestyle choices affect the course of chronic and critical illness. Her work draws on the tradition of yoga master and doctor of psychology Yogi Bhajan, who spent 35 years in the Western world teaching how Kundalini Yoga can be used as a powerful tool for facing and rising above any challenge, so that you can reach your excellence. Her own experience of moving through life challenged by a very rare and relapsing auto-immune imbalance gives her deep and on-going exposure to the wide array of issues facing those of us who find ourselves fighting in this arena.
Guruatma continues her research by taking care of herSELF in order to maintain her "KEEP UP SPIRIT!" She works one-on-one with clients presenting conditions of pain and depression, peripheral neuropathy and loss of mobility, amputation, facing impending death, hearing loss, debilitating side-effects generated by drugs and chemotherapy, glandular and nervous-system imbalance, weight and addiction complications, life-altering transition, loss of identity, and many more.
Since January of 2008, she has been teaching the early morning Kundalini Yoga class, Monday thru Saturday at 3HO Yoga Central in the Montose area of Houston, TX.
Her ongoing Chair Yoga Class at the West Grey Adaptive Recreational Center is very popular, and continuing into its second year.
