| Shaleen’s teaching style is a result of her personal practice & training: a blend of Asthanga/Power Yoga and the traditions of Viniyoga. Asthanga/Power Yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a fluid series of postures (asanas) in order to create heat within the body- the result is a light, strong body. Viniyoga is a tradition of teaching yoga that emphasizes the individual’s place in life. Although everyone may not be able to do all the postures, there are modifications of the postures which may give them the same effects. The goal of Viniyoga is to protect, maintain, and increase the body’s health. Please call for locations and times of group classes or to arrange a private lesson. "Private" lessons may also be arranged for pairs or groups. |
